Download and installation

Please note: You can obtain the download link from your Enreach account manager.

By default, the downloaded file will be stored in the Downloads folder and can be accessed from the browser immediately after the download. Open the compressed zip file and you will see four files:

• an .msi file,

• two text (.md) files with the release notes and version information and

• setup.exe

Open

Choose either the .msi file (preferred if you do a batch installation on your network) or run the setup file as an administrator to start the installer.

Usually, the installation is completed via a GPO (Group Policy Object) where the system administrator can install VfW for a large group of users using the .msi file.

The setup.exe file is used to install the VfW client to a single computer. Setup.exe can be used to configure the VfW installation after the client has been installed:

• setlync (sets Skype for Business bridge)

• removelync (removes Skype for Business bridge)

• cleanup (removes all settings)

It is necessary to adhere to the requirements, in order to set up and use the VfW client (see Requirements).
